Energy independence for your home: the government has updated the rules for state support
Given the constant challenges facing the power grid, energy self-sufficiency has become a necessity. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has updated the terms for providing state support to citizens who install autonomous and backup power supply systems in their homes. This decision is part of a comprehensive policy to strengthen the country’s energy resilience amid martial law and regular attacks on energy infrastructure.

The government has made the process of obtaining support clearer and faster. The program now clearly distinguishes between types of equipment: you can receive assistance for the purchase of generators, hybrid systems, or combinations thereof. This helps avoid confusion in paperwork and allows for a quicker transition to installation.
Key updates:
- A clear deadline for providing loan compensation has been established — just 3 calendar days after confirmation of equipment installation.
- The list of technical solutions has been clearly defined. The program is specifically aimed at home energy resilience, not at earning money through the “green” tariff.
- Energy equipment packages have been differentiated so that everyone can choose a solution tailored to their needs — from a simple generator to a complex hybrid system.
It is expected that, thanks to the implementation of these updated approaches, households will gain significantly faster access to financial compensation and clear participation rules, allowing every family to effectively install backup power sources without unnecessary delays. Building a sustainable energy system starts with each individual household, and today this process is becoming as fast and transparent as possible for every citizen.
