Today, February 25th, a modern educational space started operating at the base of the Mining and Economic Professional College. The project was implemented thanks to the attraction of over 13 million hryvnias, which combined the resources of state subsidies, regional and local budgets, the institution’s special fund, and charitable assistance.
The main innovation of the center is a construction 3D printer that works with cement mixture. Currently, it is the only such device among all educational institutions in western Ukraine. In addition, the material and technical base of the institution was supplemented by a “Smart Home” space with integrated security systems, as well as modern heating, water supply, ventilation, and electricity supply laboratories. Renewable energy equipment, including solar panels and wind generators, has been installed here.
“Now Ukraine is in great need of specialists who will build, restore, design, and implement modern technologies. High-quality professional education is the personnel stability of the state and the basis for post-war reconstruction. There are already 59 modern educational and practical centers operating in the Lviv region,” emphasized the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi. It is important that education is available not only to school graduates, but also to adults who need retraining due to the transformation of the region’s economy.
“For coal communities, the issue of education development is strategic. It is through high-quality training of specialists that we form the basis for economic diversification and new opportunities in communities,” said Andriy Tabinskyi, head of the Association of Coal Communities of Ukraine.
We sincerely admire how Sheptytskyi is transforming into a real center of innovation and progress. Our city demonstrates how a coal region can successfully change its economic profile. The development of such a center gives young people and residents of the community the main thing — a competitive advantage in the labor market and the opportunity to become part of a new, modern economy of the city.
