A training session entitled “Active residents — the key to community development” was held in Sheptytskyi

The space for just transition became a platform for addressing pressing issues and creating initiatives through the use of local democracy mechanisms. Participants worked in small groups, using the innovative Ukrainian DIY4Change method and the interactive reality game DIY4Advocacy. The D4S digital matrix allowed them to simulate community life, where everyone could try their hand at being an architect of change: from identifying pressing issues to developing ideas using public participation tools.

The proposals developed will form the basis for the development of real measures and projects for the restoration and development of our community. Together, we are building an inclusive and economically viable community where residents are the driving force for change!
We would like to express our special gratitude to the team of the International Renaissance Foundation for supporting this initiative. We would also like to thank Yevheniia Vasylieva, an expert from the Civil Society Development Forum NGO, for her professional conduct of the event and moderation of the work with innovative tools.
We also thank all those present for their active participation, sincere discussions, and willingness to work together on the future of our community. Your ideas and energy are the basis for real projects for the restoration and development of Sheptytsky.
