Youth – The Key to Sheptytskyi’s Future
Sheptytskyi today is a community undergoing change. But real change is impossible without those willing to create it. Young people are the heart of the just transition because it is they who will build the new Sheptytskyi: starting businesses, creating cultural initiatives, and working in new industries.
We at the Just Transition Agency are convinced: retaining talent within the community means giving it a future. That’s why working with young people is one of our priorities.
What Do We Offer Young People?
- Opportunities for Learning and Development: We are creating internship programs, hackathons, and workshops on financial literacy, project management, IT, and marketing. We bring in specialists from other cities to provide local youth with the knowledge and skills that open doors to the modern economy.
- Career Fairs: We showcase the opportunities already available in Sheptytskyi today. We involve local businesses, educational institutions, and investors to introduce young people to the prospects right here in the community.
- Support for Creative Ideas: From cultural projects to startups – we help young people bring their initiatives to life. Grants, mentorship support, and spaces for implementation are already part of our plans.
- Building a Youth Space: We are working on creating a youth center – a place where young people can learn, work on projects, and meet like-minded individuals. It will be a modern space for the new generation of Sheptytskyi.
Why is This Important?
Young people leave a community if they don’t see opportunities there. Just transition is a chance to change this dynamic. Our goal is to make Sheptytskyi a place where people want to stay, where there is room for growth, and where they can fulfill their potential.
We envision Sheptytskyi not only as the industrial heart of the Lviv region but also as a community that develops its human capital: entrepreneurs, artists, engineers, and IT specialists.
